  • Dangers of Weight Loss with Certain Methods

Are you trying to reduce weihght? You can find plenty of great information and possibly you already have a diet plan in mind. Following a healthy diet and doing regular exercise can be a slow way to lose weight so people often try risky ways instead. Most usually, women are resorting to these drastic methods as they feel pressured into being thin by society. Our society forces women into being thin so they oftentimes choose these dangerous weight loss methods. Everyone would like to be at their best weight, but when you jeopardize your overall health in your pursuit to lose weight, you run the danger of becoming ill. Here, I'll be sharing with you these methods so that you can stay away from them.

Most people decide to starve themselves when they are on the hunt for a quick weight loss fix and then they suffer from low energy levels due to not consuming enough food. You may simply skip over breakfast or lunch, or maybe both meals. Even though your body is forcefully telling you that you're hungry and need food, you say to yourself mentally that you're not starved. However, after sometime your body learns to adjust. As you eat less and less, your body worries that it won't be fed so your metabolism slows down drastically to preserve energy, meaning you will burn off less fat throughout the day. When you do decide to eat normally once more, your metabolism will still be pretty slow, so you will store calories more easily, resulting in you putting on all of that fat quicker. While it is true that you can slim down when you you decide to try starvation, you will lose more weight by following a regimen of sound diet and exercise. Doesn't it seem desirable to eat a healthy diet and have the chance to shed off even more pounds?

Starving yourself can often cause anorexia. You have a dread of food and getting obese, resulting in becoming hazardously thin and not eating much, if anything at all. You can lose your hair, become very weak physically, and can even die as a result of anorexia. Many adolescents try starvation diets but, when you become obsessed with starving yourself, it can eventually led to anorexia which can damage your body and your health.

Bulimia is one other consideration. Those who follow this method ingest huge amounts of food and then puke so that the calories do not stay in their body. While bulimics do not fear food such as anorexics do, they throw up the food that they ingest because they feel guilt-ridden for eating such large amounts. Binge-eating syndrome is tough to identify because bulimic people normally hold the same basic body weight. Vomiting your food is not healthy for your body. Your heart and other vital body organs can be seriously affected. You can end up producing stomach ulcers because of it. Your teeth are also going to be ruined from all of the stomach acid, not to mention your esophagus. The acid can also cause harm to your throat. Your body can be badly damaged by throwing up your food regularly.

For best results, choose healthy foods and eat sensibly. This means smaller portionsand cutting back on rich foods. You can effectively become slimmer without taking a chance on your health.
